  • Living Graphs let you plot changes over a period of time. A good use for this is tracking a characters emotions over the course of a story. A Cinderella example is below.

  • Timelines for biographies or autobiographies are available as well. Enter the low and high values of the years and click to add events.

  • Upload a graphic image and use the Post It feature for kids to label the diagram. This example is for the rainforest strata, however, you could label parts of a plants, various organs in the body systems, planets and bodies in the solar system, labeling parts and functions of systems in general, identifying coins, identifying polygons or solids, and more.

The Dustbin Game allows students to sort or classify information into respective bins. This version I created had to do with a nonfiction lesson connected to polar bears. Students needed to organize their facts so they could prepare a product on "How a Polar Bear Uses its Body for Survival." From the collection of facts, they had to determine which were keepers and remained on topic.
